Kale Sligh
Overview
Kristopher Kale Sligh, most often goes by Kale, is a corporate executive with background in both telecommunications, technology and insurance industries. While he gives his primary focus on his careers in those industries, he also provides some consulting work on the side as opportunities present themselves. He's also had some experience coaching children at basketball, baseball and football and has a passion for developing people life, sports and professional skills. Kale has lived in several places in the south eastern states over the last 30 years, living in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and most recently in Tennessee. His career background includes experiences in a wide range of telecommunication, insurance and digital technology and is known for his hard work and passion for elevating whatever team or business he is working with. However, Kale's true passion and focus is on his immediate family. He's married with 2 children and has a mother he is very close with. When time allows, he enjoys a wide variety of sports that he both plays recreationally and watching his favorite college and professional teams.
Early Years
He grew up as Kristopher Kale Fowler, before being adopted by his step father at the age of 13, at which his last name was changed to Sligh. Before that, he's travel back and forth staying with his biological father and mother. Kale grew up in moving quite a bit before moving to Mississippi, where he attended both High School and eventually undergrad and post grad college. He attended the University of Mississippi starting in 1998 after graduating at Madison Central High School. After he graduated college, he began to work at a law firm and took night classes to eventually get his Masters in Business Administration at Mississippi College. He was inducted into Delta Mu Delta and graduated Cum Laude for outstanding scholastic achievement.
Professional Career
Professionally, Kale is an experienced Sr. Marketing Executive with broad expertise in marketing strategy, digital transformation, user experience design, product development and project management. He considers himself a confident and forward-thinking leader with a “customer-first” mentality; adept at managing large, multi-department, multi-vendor strategic projects. Kale enjoys driving tangible and innovative change while consistently delivering results that exceed expectations. His career started with nearly a decade in the Telecommunications industry, working at a regional wireless carrier in Mississippi called C Spire before eventually moving to Arkansas taking a position at a enterprise telecommunications solutions provider named Optus Incorporated. He then moved his then wife and two children to Nashville, TN where he now lives and works for a nationwide insurance company named The General. He's won several different awards throughout his career - including several employee honors such as Employee of the Year at his variance businesses and a wide variety of marketing & digital industry awards for his work in those spaces, including Appy and Webby nominations and Loyalty 360 awards.
